Our 8 Step Design Process
We have an eight step process which helps ensure that you get exactly what you want, for what you want to afford.
Each project is unique and different and is treated as such. The steps are adjusted as needed to accommodate the needs of each projects. ALC Design specializes in designing projects to meet your budget.
Step 1
In-Home Consultation
One of Design/Build/Remodel consultants will come to your home and discuss our design and construction process in much greater detail with you, answering all your questions and addressing any concerns you may have. We will discuss functional space, scope, size of the design, selection parameters and buget aspects of the projects.
Step 2
Preparation of the Proposal Package
Our team will meet with you at your home to discuss product finishes, textures, themes and space management of your project. Measure and photograph the property (both inside and out) allowing us to create an accurate building model from which we can work from to generate the project you are looking for. The team now takes the information and will begin to put together a project per your specified parameters and price point.
Step 3
Conceptual Presentation
At the conceptual presentation you will be presented with high quality 3D renderings and floor plans of your project as well as a complete proposal package delineating every aspect included in your project and what the project would cost should you decide to not change anything.
Step 4
Redesign Meetings
This is the point where you re-join the team as team captains! Now you will know what the finish project will look like, what is included and what it will cost. You will work with the team fine tuning the project design, selections, and price point to get the exact project you are searching for.
Step 5
Pre-Construction Meeting
At this meeting we spend a great deal of time going through all the little details of the construction portion of the process ensuring that we are all on the same page and understand every aspect of the scope of work prior to starting construction.
Step 6
Finalize the Construction Drawings
We will review all the construction drawings with you so you have a greater understanding of what we are building. After your approval we will submit them to your local building department for review.
Step 7
Start of Project Construction
Upon approval by the building department, issuing of the building permit and completion of any necessary redesign paperwork we will begin your project. At which point you will be introduced to your Lead Carpenter and a portable restroom, dumpster, job sign and job box will be delivered and placed in a professional and workman like manner on site.
Step 8
Project Completion Meeting
We love to hear how the project went from our clients perspective, both good and bad so we can keep improving our system for both our design and production processes.
