We worked with ALC to finish our basement and to turn a sunroom into a 4-season playroom. The project ended up being much more extensive than we had planned due to a lot of unforeseen issues in our basement that needed to be fixed which added up to a lot of money as well and Brian worked with us to ensure we didn’t have to give up anything from our original scope and to keep the cost under control so that we could financially still afford the project.

Our lead carpenter changed earlier on during our work, and both (Matt and Octo) were great to work with. Your lead carpenter is there every day, so you really get to know each other. Any home renovation is stressful, but we also did it while I was pregnant the plan was to be done before the baby came but due to the issues in the basement and my daughter coming early that didn’t happen and Octo and Brian were very respectful and worked with us to ensure the final touches they were doing weren’t disruptive as we adjusted to becoming a family of three.

In the end the space came out even better than we imagined. Our basement is finished, and my daughter has a wonderful playroom. We have already received so many compliments on both spaces. It also feels good knowing the space is safer now too that our electrical and plumbing are up to code. The only one item I wasn’t 100% impressed with was the painters they used, but they are coming back in the spring to do some touch ups and make that right.
